What you will do
- Deliver advanced Tier 3 technical support for Vertica database environments.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex escalated customer issues.
- Perform detailed root-cause analysis to identify and fix system bottlenecks.
- Mentor junior engineers to improve overall team technical effectiveness.
- Utilize performance tuning tools and management consoles to optimize system health.
- Collaborate on cloud and containerized infrastructure challenges.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States
- Deep expertise in Linux distributions including file systems and memory management.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts.
- Solid understanding of Vertica columnar architecture and performance tuning.
- Experience with TCP/IP networking and Kubernetes environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in cloud-based storage systems.
