TL;DR
Senior Support Engineer (B2Bi): Providing high-level technical support for enterprise B2B integration software with an accent on complex troubleshooting, system analysis, and database performance. Location: Must be based in the United States (100% remote)

What you will do
- Provide world-class technical support via phone, remote desktop, and case management systems.
- Investigate and solve complex issues across diverse platforms, software systems, and databases.
- Determine root causes of issues within products, third-party libraries, or user-developed code.
- Contribute to internal and external knowledge base documentation.
- Debug product issues and provide recommended solutions or enhancements.
- Participate in periodic weekend and late shifts for on-call support.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical support roles.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, AS2, etc.) and distributed computing.
- Proficiency in operating systems (AIX, RHEL, Windows) and database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
- Experience with containerization and virtualization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Proficiency in applying AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) to daily workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting or managing Sterling B2B Integrator or Sterling File Gateway.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases like Cassandra.
- Programming experience in C, C++, or Java.
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as JMS or IBM MQ.
