AI/ML Technical Lead (Senior Data Scientist)

What you will do

• Lead the selection and refinement of baseline AI/ML use cases including GenAI, RAG, and forecasting.
• Perform data exploration, feature engineering, model development, and comparative evaluation.
• Define mission requirements, performance metrics, and acceptance criteria for each model.
• Collaborate with SMEs to validate business rules and interpret model results.
• Work with MLOps engineers to package, deploy, monitor, and sustain models in production.
• Prepare model documentation, evaluation results, and release criteria for production-readiness reviews.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Seven or more years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI.
• Four or more years developing machine-learning solutions with strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience taking at least one model from requirements through production deployment.
• Experience with Azure-based AI/ML services or comparable cloud environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with defense logistics, maintenance, or supply chain analytics.
• Familiarity with GCSS-Army, SAP ECC, or ERP systems.
• Experience with model monitoring, drift detection, and human-in-the-loop validation.
• Ability to brief technical results to operational users and senior leadership.
