What you will do

• Establish and execute a strategic roadmap for the enterprise data engineering platform.
• Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing data engineering organization through hiring and mentorship.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, and Architecture teams to define technical strategy and execution models.
• Deliver scalable, reliable, and governed data products for analytics, reporting, and AI workflows.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Define and monitor engineering metrics to improve platform health, cost efficiency, and productivity.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale data platforms or analytics systems.
• 5+ years of experience leading data engineering teams, including managing managers.
• Deep experience with modern cloud-based analytics platforms (data warehouses, lakehouses, ELT/ETL).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, observability, and scalable architecture.
• Proven ability to build and scale high-performing engineering organizations.

Nice to have

• Experience building data pipelines for healthcare or highly governed industries.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning data workflows.
• Experience with modern data governance platforms like Unity Catalog, Collibra, or OpenMetadata.
