Digital Communications Director

Location: Hybrid; available in San Francisco, New York, or Austin, United States

Salary: $170,000–$234,000 annual salary for Bay Area hires; $163,000–$224,000 annual salary for New York hires. Compensation may vary by work location.

What you will do

• Define the overarching strategy and voice for hirify.global’s corporate digital channels.
• Partner with executive leadership to develop and scale personal digital brands and online narratives.
• Manage social media channels including X, LinkedIn, and YouTube, while expanding into emerging platforms and technical communities.
• Translate complex technical developments, including network infrastructure and post-quantum cryptography, into engaging digital content.
• Coordinate rapid, transparent, and accurate digital responses to Internet-scale crises.
• Build measurement frameworks for brand sentiment, share of voice, and engagement, and optimize strategy using data.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, digital strategy, or brand journalism.
• At least 4+ years leading digital or social teams in B2B technology or SaaS.
• Strong understanding of Internet technology, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity, with the ability to collaborate with engineers and product managers.
• Fluency in LinkedIn, X, Reddit, YouTube, Threads, and their audiences, algorithms, and communities.
• Excellent editorial judgment, including handling viral trends and sensitive geopolitical or cybersecurity issues.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners in Legal, Product, Policy, and Investor Relations.

• Background in technology journalism or communications for an open-source project.
• Active participation in the technology ecosystem, supported by a portfolio, blog, or digital projects.
• Interest in improving the speed, safety, and reliability of the Internet.
