Product Owner

Location: Remote — work from any convenient location. The client is based in Germany, and day-to-day communication is conducted in German.

What you will do

• Lead requirements elicitation with the client, identify gaps, and propose solutions.
• Refine requirements into clear user stories, tasks, and actionable tickets.
• Build and prioritize the product backlog according to business goals and project constraints.
• Make independent product decisions and critically evaluate stakeholder input.
• Coordinate the distributed development team and resolve blockers proactively.
• Help build a cloud-native ERP platform for the pawn business from the ground up.

Requirements

• Fluent German at C1 level is essential; the project runs entirely in German.
• At least 5 years of commercial experience as a business analyst, project manager, or product owner.
• Experience with technically complex, large-scale projects.
• Strong requirements gathering, backlog management, prioritization, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• English at B2 level or above; a technical background is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Experience in finance, insurance, or lending.
• Technical background.
