What you will do

• Actively challenge first-line teams on technical provisions, reserve margins, and uncertainties to drive efficiency through better data use.
• Provide sharp oversight and advice on pricing strategies, models, and loss trends while monitoring market trends and emerging risks.
• Lead deep-dive risk reviews into GI financials and bring financial rigour to non-financial risk reviews.
• Ensure regulatory and professional compliance and play a pivotal role in shaping GI and reinsurance risk appetites.
• Collaborate with first-line teams and stakeholders across multiple business hubs.

Requirements

• Qualified actuary with several years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong background in personal lines insurance, particularly household insurance.
• Proven expertise in GI personal lines reserving and reinsurance with current, hands-on experience.
• Strong pricing skills, including advanced data analytics and price optimisation techniques.
• In-depth understanding of current and emerging insurance regulations.
• Must be based in the UK and work from one of the specified hubs (Edinburgh, Leeds, Cardiff, or Bristol).
