What you will do

• Collaborate with product, UX, and developers to understand customer problems and lead feature development
• Write high-quality, tested code and conduct code reviews
• Identify technical debt and improve architecture following best practices in Ruby on Rails and GraphQL
• Build private and public GraphQL APIs powering frontend and CLI
• Lead technical explorations and create prototypes for best solutions
• Participate in oncall rotations troubleshooting core stack technologies

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Canada
• At least 5 years experience with Ruby on Rails or 7 years with similar web frameworks
• Strong understanding of MySQL data modeling and performance optimization
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Knowledge of job systems like Sidekiq and in-memory datastores like Redis
• Experience scaling web applications to thousands of users and millions of events
