What you will do

• Deliver well-scoped product features in close collaboration with Product Managers and Engineering Managers.
• Develop and maintain high-performance, high-availability backend systems.
• Practice and advocate for test-driven development (TDD) to ensure software reliability.
• Design scalable distributed systems with a holistic architecture perspective.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval using SQL and NoSQL databases.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails (preferred), Golang, Node, or Python.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and caching mechanisms like Redis or Memcached.
• Knowledge of AWS and building scalable CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in San Francisco, CA.
• Professional proficiency in English (verbal and written).

Nice to have

• Experience with NextJS or other frontend technologies.
• Bilingual proficiency in Chinese.
