What you will do

• Lead strategic purchasing initiatives and cost-saving projects to improve market competitiveness.
• Develop and manage strong relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and quality.
• Onboard new suppliers and manage the exit of underperforming ones based on commodity strategies.
• Utilize performance metrics, scorecards, and Quarterly Business Reviews to ensure best-in-class supplier performance.
• Act as Project Manager for sourcing-driven projects, managing timelines and driving cross-functional teamwork.
• Analyze data sets, market trends, and conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Make vs. Buy calculations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in direct purchasing and supply chain roles with a focus on Mechanical Commodities.
• Experience in mechanical purchasing, including sourcing technical components from drawings and specifications.
• Full proficiency in a major ERP system such as Oracle or SAP.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Must be able to work onsite in an office and factory environment (safety glasses required on floor).
