What you will do
- Monitor and analyze real-time activities and performance of utility operating assets to determine root causes of operational events.
- Identify abnormal operating and alarm conditions and react accordingly in a high-stress, time-sensitive environment.
- Manage power plant operations based on location, generation type, regional regulations, and customer contractual requirements.
- Coordinate and implement remedial actions to maximize equipment availability and revenue.
- Execute activities associated with asset contracts, including capacity scheduling, reporting, and telemetry issues.
- Collaborate with Field Operations teams, Scheduling Coordinators, and Transmission Operators for status notifications and operating instructions.
Requirements
- Must be based in or be able to relocate to Scottsdale, Arizona.
- Work Authorization: Clearway will not sponsor non-immigrant visas (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.).
- Experience in Operations or as a Solar/Wind Field Technician (2 years preferred).
- Technical knowledge of plant processes and experience operating electrical and SCADA systems.
- Ability to work 12.5-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree or formal operations apprenticeship training.
- Previous control room experience.
- Knowledge of functional systems interactions.
