Product Designer (Gaming)

Location: On-site in New York City (5 days a week)

Salary: $180,000 – $220,000 + Equity

General Intuition is a frontier lab building large action and world models for virtual and physical environments, leveraging the scale of the Medal gaming platform.

What you will do

• Design consumer-facing experiences tailored to gaming culture and creator-driven communities.
• Own product flows end-to-end, from conceptualization to final shipping and iteration.
• Build, scale, and maintain a comprehensive design system using Figma, including tokens and component architecture.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure design components are accurately translated into code.
• Shape polished, accessible interfaces for both desktop and mobile platforms seen by millions of users.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products, preferably for social or creator platforms.
• Expertise in Figma (component architecture, variables, auto layout) and design system maintenance.
• Must be based in New York City to work on-site 5 days a week.
• Strong product judgment with the ability to prioritize outcomes over features.
• Experience with iterative design and cross-platform UX patterns (Desktop and Mobile).
• Deep passion for gaming and an understanding of gaming community social dynamics.

Nice to have

• Experience designing for real-time interaction products such as Discord, Twitch, or TikTok.
