Staff Software Engineer (Automotive): Leading the design, architecture, and deployment of Activation Power management software within the Low Voltage Infrastructure organization with an accent on SDV2.0 requirements and first-time quality delivery. Focus on optimizing microcontroller and ECU abstraction layers, ensuring high-level functional safety and cybersecurity compliance, and mentoring a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
Location: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) in Milford, Michigan. Must be able to report to the local office.

What you will do
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Activation Power management Software in the Low Voltage Infrastructure domain.
- Collaborate with BSW vendors, cybersecurity teams, and HWIO to deliver compliant solutions meeting SDV2.0 requirements.
- Coordinate architecture across various initiatives and deliver tactical roadmaps to execution teams.
- Review and restructure existing software to improve quality, maintainability, and reusability.
- Supervise and mentor a team of eight Software Engineers and two Control Engineers.
- Drive software architecture discipline and principles throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Technical Specialist.
- 10+ years of experience with AUTOSAR (MCAL, Complex Drivers), Automotive Communication Protocols (Ethernet, CAN, CAN FD, LIN), and SOME/IP.
- 10+ years of experience with multicore design on NXP PPC and ARM microcontrollers.
- 10+ years of experience with ISO-26262 (up to ASIL D) and ISO-21434 (Automotive Cybersecurity).
- 8+ years of experience leading software teams in automotive domains such as ADAS, Body and Chassis, or Powertrain.
