Investment Associate (M&A)

TL;DR

Investment Associate (Mobile Apps & SaaS): Identifying, evaluating, and acquiring mobile applications and complementary SaaS businesses with an accent on building complex financial models from scratch and end-to-end deal execution. Focus on stress-testing investment theses, analyzing unit economics (LTV, CAC), and structuring acquisition cases for the Investment Committee.

What you will do

• Source and evaluate mobile app and SaaS acquisition targets to build the investment pipeline.
• Build complex financial models from scratch, including subscription cohort models, ROAS-based projections, DCF, and LBO.
• Manage the end-to-end deal process from initial data request to Investment Committee (IC) recommendation.
• Analyze KPIs such as LTV, CAC, retention, churn, and ARPU to form independent valuation views.
• Conduct deep-dive sessions with app founders to assess business health and strategic fit.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and growth teams to determine post-acquisition optimization potential.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a buy-side role with hands-on deal experience.
• Proven ability to build advanced financial models from a blank spreadsheet (not just tweaking existing ones).
• Deep understanding of the mobile app ecosystem and core metrics (MAU, DAU, retention curves).
• Strong accounting fundamentals, including three-statement connection and EV-to-equity bridges.
• Exceptional communication skills for founder-facing interactions and IC presentations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, global environment.

Nice to have

• Experience modeling debt structures and understanding leverage impact on returns.
• Expertise in SaaS-specific metrics (MRR, ARR, net revenue retention).
• Experience running the full M&A process from LOI to closing.
• Previous experience in Private Equity, Growth Equity, or Venture Capital.
