Production Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Abingdon, UK. Must work onsite in a cleanroom environment (4+ days per week)

What you will do

• Execute hands-on manufacturing, assembly, and testing of products within a cleanroom environment.
• Support production on a 2-shift rotating basis, including equipment setup, operation, and shutdown.
• Monitor production processes, identify deviations, and perform initial troubleshooting and diagnosis.
• Optimize processes to improve efficiency and yield while reducing operating costs.
• Assist in the development and validation of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Mentor and train new operators and fellow technicians on manufacturing equipment and procedures.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Production Technician or Engineer in a similar fabrication environment.
• Level 3 diploma or equivalent qualification in Engineering.
• Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and scientific experimentation techniques.
• Ability to work proactively without direct supervision and prioritize critical issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork and shift continuity.

Nice to have

• Level 5 diploma or equivalent qualification in Engineering.
• Qualification or experience with Lean Six Sigma.
• Experience with OEE and Production KPI monitoring.
• Strong planning and execution skills.
