Head of Information Risk Management (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of the bank’s IT risk management framework.
• Challenge IT risk management execution and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Refine IT risk methodologies and procedures, supporting effective risk control across business processes.
• Advise first-line teams and business stakeholders on IT risk policies, procedures, and issue resolution.
• Manage IT risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints at project level, including recovery planning.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of local and global IT risk experts.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in IT or equivalent professional experience.
• Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and related risks.
• Strong leadership and people management experience, including coaching and team development.
• Strong understanding of ING’s IT Risk Control framework and a pragmatic, risk-based approach.
• Very good knowledge of English and Dutch and/or French.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, self-organization, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, including at executive level.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or equivalent.
• Experience working in a constantly changing environment and taking initiative in dynamic situations.
