Application Support Engineer (VolPay)

What you will do

• Provide functional and technical production support for the VolPay payment platform.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents within agreed SLAs and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot international payment processing across SWIFT and ISO 20022 messages.
• Manage Docker container deployments, upgrades, releases, and rollbacks using Ansible Tower.
• Troubleshoot Unix/Linux, IBM MQ, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, ZooKeeper, batch processing, APIs, and system integrations.
• Develop shell scripts, improve Splunk monitoring, and reduce recurring incidents through automation and proactive operational improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in banking application support or production operations.
• Hands-on experience with VolPay or a similar enterprise payments platform.
• Strong knowledge of international payments, SWIFT, and ISO 20022 messaging.
• Experience with Unix/Linux, Docker, Ansible, shell scripting, IBM MQ, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL, and Splunk.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work independently and participate in on-call support.
