What you will do

• Lead the Payload Systems team in managing design, procurement, integration, and testing for satellite payloads.
• Define and validate technical requirements for communication payloads and TT&C subsystems.
• Manage RFI/RFP/BAFO processes and technical negotiations with component suppliers.
• Oversee technical support for operational spacecraft and resolve anomalies.
• Collaborate with AI/ML and satellite engineering teams on new mission feasibility studies.
• Develop training plans for team members with a focus on AI and advanced analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in satellite payload systems engineering or mission operations.
• Deep knowledge of RF, communications, and TT&C systems design.
• Proven experience in Satcom/telecom satellites, payload performance analysis, and AIT.
• Expertise in link budgets.
• Management experience is highly recommended.

Nice to have

• Experience with flexible payloads, active antennas, and beamforming.
• Experience in LEO/MEO constellations.
• Knowledge of 5G NTN (5G-NR and 5G NB-IoT).
• Experience with AI/ML, cloud, or edge computing in space contexts.
• Advanced degrees or certifications like PMP or Six Sigma.
