Tax Director (C Corp)

TL;DR

Tax Director (C Corp): Providing strategic leadership and technical expertise in corporate tax services with an accent on complex tax issues, ASC 740 provisions, and M&A structuring. Location: Must be based in the United States. Candidates within 45 minutes of a hirify.global office will be expected to follow a hybrid schedule.

What you will do

• Serve as a trusted advisor for middle-market and emerging growth companies, specifically C-Corporations.
• Lead and review federal, state, and local corporate income tax compliance and multistate filings.
• Provide technical leadership on complex matters including ASC 740, accounting method changes, and M&A transactions.
• Mentor and develop managers, supervisors, and staff to ensure technical excellence.
• Partner with leadership to support business development and expand client service offerings.
• Contribute to thought leadership and internal training initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Active CPA license, JD, or EA required.
• 10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience required.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal and multistate corporate income tax.
• Proven experience managing client relationships and leading engagements.
• Experience reviewing ASC 740 provisions preferred.

Nice to have

• Public accounting experience with middle-market or complex corporate clients.
• Experience supporting M&A transactions and tax structuring.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and coach.
