What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wind turbine generation equipment to ensure optimum performance.
• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on generators, pitch systems, yaw systems, and cooling systems.
• Correct mechanical issues with gearboxes, pumps, and other rotating machinery, including alignment.
• Execute electrical maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting contactors, motors, breakers, and wiring.
• Conduct inspections of safety equipment, vehicles, and plant machinery to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Document all performed work using computer-based software.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in New York, NY.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates technical degree or minimum 3 years of work experience in electrical/mechanical repair.
• 3–5 years of related experience, preferably within a power plant environment.
• Must have an unrestricted driver’s license and be able to speak English.
• Physical ability to climb 300-foot tower ladders daily and lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, confined spaces, and loud environments.
