What you will do

• Manage the quality and daily operation of the QC Microbiology department.
• Provide technical support to clients for validation and verification activities.
• Review technical data, documents, proposals, protocols, and reports, and prepare quotations for technical work.
• Investigate customer quality complaints, coordinate CAPA activities, and communicate findings within the required timeframe.
• Coordinate sample log-in, reporting, billing requests, and other administrative support activities.
• Lead departmental and company-wide projects that improve laboratory efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology or equivalent experience or training.
• Up to 10 years of analytical laboratory management experience.
• Strong knowledge of microbiology principles and demonstrated expertise in one or more analytical microbiology disciplines.
• Ability to lead a department and coordinate workloads.
• Ability to interpret and analyze data and troubleshoot assay or equipment problems.
• Ability to work at the Lincolnshire, Illinois location.
