Sr Cytogenic Analyst

What you will do

• Perform routine and non-routine cytogenetic procedures, including slide preparation and analysis.
• Review chromosome and FISH samples, prepare reports, and maintain quality standards.
• Support staffing, scheduling, turnaround-time monitoring, and laboratory management activities.
• Troubleshoot laboratory quality issues and perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Support assay validation and technical transfer, proficiency testing, quality control, and corrective-action investigations.
• Maintain complete records and report QC failures, specimen problems, equipment malfunctions, and other nonconformances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related chemical, physical, or biological science field.
• 5+ years of relevant laboratory data analyst experience.
• 3+ years of relevant clinical laboratory operations or wet-lab experience.
• Experience leading projects and transferring complex assays.
• Certification or registration as a Technologist in Cytogenetics by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, CG(ASCP).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, attention-to-detail, and prioritization skills.
