What you will do

• Decrypt data from mobile devices, computers, and storage media.
• Recover deleted data not recognized by standard carving tools.
• Extract data from flash memory chips with custom or proprietary file systems.
• Collaborate with digital forensic examiners to recover evidence from locked or damaged devices.
• Research encryption implementations and storage architectures to identify recovery pathways.
• Produce detailed technical reports documenting methodologies for federal court proceedings.

Requirements

• Active TS clearance and SCI eligibility.
• Minimum 8 years experience with BS/BA (or equivalent experience) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Cryptography, or Information Security.
• Strong programming and scripting proficiency in Python, C++, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience with Android/iOS decryption, full-disk encryption (FDE), and container-level schemes.
• Experience extracting data from NAND/NOR flash memory chips.
• Familiarity with digital forensic tools like Cellebrite, GrayKey, Magnet AXIOM, EnCase, FTK, or X-Ways.

Nice to have

• Experience with hardware-based data recovery (JTAG, chip-off, ISP).
• Background in reverse engineering storage protocols, firmware, or encryption implementations.
• Experience testifying as an expert witness in federal proceedings.
• Prior experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or federal law enforcement.
