What you will do

• Lead a team of software engineers building AI/ML foundations including NLP, recommendations, and generative AI.
• Drive strategy and execution for critical platform components such as feature stores and distributed model training.
• Implement model versioning, evaluation, monitoring, drift detection, and automated retraining.
• Partner with Data Science and domain engineering teams to build scalable foundations for real-time and batch applications.
• Mentor engineers, foster teamwork, and ensure high-quality software delivery on time.
• Guide architectural decisions for scalable and secure AI/ML systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience and at least 3 years of people management experience.
• Deep understanding of both the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Machine Learning Lifecycle (MLL).
• Technical proficiency in Python (preferred), Java, C#, or Scala.
• Experience implementing AI/ML solutions using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLflow, scikit-learn, or HuggingFace.
• Hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, GKE, Vertex AI) or equivalent AWS/Azure services.
• Experience with IaC and CI/CD tools such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, Concourse, or Ansible.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Computational Linguistics.
• Experience with AI product lifecycle management and model governance.
• Proven track record of hiring and developing engineering talent.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments.
