What you will do

• Troubleshoot plant control systems including PLCs, VFDs, I/O hardware, sensors, HMIs, and DCS systems.
• Recommend and implement improvements and optimizations for automation systems.
• Develop technical training materials for plant electricians and instrumentation technicians.
• Maintain and update control system drawings and electronic documentation.
• Plan and execute weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance activities for automation systems.
• Support the planning and execution of annual capital projects for the Hammond plant.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in the controls and automation field.
• Working knowledge of PLC systems, including programming and troubleshooting.
• Must be able to work onsite at the Hammond, IN facility and adhere to GMP and PPE standards.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree specifically in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley systems (Factory Talk, ControlLogix, RS Logix) and Rockwell DCS.
• Experience with Beckhoff PLC systems.
• 3+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
