What you will do

• Own the fabrication of first functional samples for next-generation battery and charger architectures.
• Architect and build power system prototypes using custom electro-mechanical layouts and adapted BMS electronics.
• Design, source, and fabricate assembly fixtures and manufacturing jigs using CAD.
• Manage in-house assembly lab equipment, including laser welding, 3D printers, and electrical test benches.
• Supervise workshop technicians to execute physical builds safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with ME, EE, and Firmware teams to translate early build findings into actionable design improvements.

Requirements

• Proven background in rapid prototyping, electro-mechanical assembly, or hardware product engineering (preferably batteries or power electronics).
• Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5 or similar) for fixture and product design.
• Basic comfort with PCB design (Altium Designer) and modifying embedded firmware parameters.
• Strong understanding of battery architecture and strict laboratory safety protocols.
• Ability to independently source external suppliers for CNC machining and rapid prototyping.
• Excellent English communication skills (C1) and must be based in Munich, Germany.
