Location: Hybrid in Limassol, Cyprus (42 remote work days allowed)

What you will do
- Monitor and optimize payment performance, including approval rates, decline patterns, 3DS flows, and routing rules.
- Analyze fraud-related declines and collaborate with teams to tune risk thresholds and fraud rules.
- Perform deep-dive analyses across card schemes, PSPs, BINs, and various countries to discover trends.
- Drive operational outcomes by updating routing logic, cascading strategies, and issuer-specific heuristics.
- Build and maintain dashboards and monitoring tools using Metabase, Amplitude, or Tableau.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, ML, and Fraud teams to design and implement end-to-end payment improvements.
Requirements
- Advanced SQL proficiency, including window functions and metric construction.
- Deep understanding of PSP behavior, decline codes, 3DS, routing, tokens, and cascading.
- Knowledge of fraud basics, such as RDR, chargebacks, and risk signals.
- Fluency in the Python Data Science stack (Pandas, Jupyter Notebook).
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business recommendations.
- Must be based in or have the right to work in Cyprus (EU-based employment contract).
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Russian.
- Experience with card schemes, PSPs, or issuer-specific patterns.
- Hands-on experience with 3DS flows or routing optimization.
- Background in fraud prevention or high-load transactional products.
