What you will do

• Design, develop, and integrate network segmentation, load balancing, and cloud networking for Platform and Operations teams.
• Plan network configurations and interface specifications to ensure effective integration and optimal performance.
• Prepare technical proposals for engineering review boards to introduce new technologies to the network.
• Perform operational maintenance, performance testing, and troubleshooting for network and cloud systems.
• Analyze communication links using monitoring tools and scripts to identify and resolve architecture or environment issues.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including design specs, system baselines, installation guides, and network maps.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, and network security protocols.
• Knowledge of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls), operating systems, and network management tools.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues effectively.
• Clear technical communication and documentation skills.
• TS/SCI Poly clearance is mandatory.
• Must be able to work onsite in Sterling, VA.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud networking services and technologies.
• Expertise in network security best practices and tools.
• Knowledge of Python for automating network tasks.
• Experience designing and implementing wireless networks.
• Relevant certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or CND.
