TL;DR

Technical Application Specialist (Cybersecurity): Supporting the delivery of secure, scalable platforms within the Assured Build team with an accent on security relevant configurations and CI/CD pipelines. Focus on automating security artefacts, embedding security into the engineering lifecycle, and optimizing cloud security policies.

Location: Hybrid: Must spend at least two days per week (40% of time) at one of the office sites in Leeds, Edinburgh, Bristol, Halifax, or Manchester

Salary: £72,702 - £88,858

What you will do

• Assess systems against internal security frameworks, design, and baseline build requirements.
• Use DevOps tools and automation to improve the review and approval process for security artefacts.
• Partner with Cloud Security Engineers and platform teams to drive reuse and standardization of security patterns.
• Configure and support cloud security policies and portals.
• Evaluate the impact of technology roadmap changes on security patterns and controls.
• Contribute to the development of cybersecurity services, including processes and documentation.

Requirements

• Strong technical foundation with the ability to quickly learn and adapt.
• Broad understanding of cybersecurity domains, specifically cloud security (Azure and/or GCP).
• Hands-on technical experience including the ability to read and interpret code.
• Must be able to work from a UK office at least two days per week.
