TL;DR
Principal Security Sales Engineer (Cybersecurity): Supporting enterprise sales by explaining and demonstrating cybersecurity, privacy, cloud security, and AI governance capabilities with an accent on customer trust, security assurance, and regulatory alignment. Focus on leading technical security reviews, improving questionnaire and RFP processes, influencing product roadmaps, and implementing AI-enabled risk management workflows.

What you will do
- Serve as the primary security and privacy subject matter expert for enterprise sales opportunities and strategic customer engagements.
- Lead customer trust discussions, technical security reviews, third-party risk management engagements, and security due diligence.
- Partner with Account Executives, Sales Engineering, Legal, Product Management, Engineering, and customer-facing teams.
- Develop presentations, demonstrations, and security narratives covering cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and AI governance.
- Support security questionnaires, RFPs, RFIs, audits, contract negotiations, and scalable assurance processes.
- Influence product and engineering roadmaps through recurring customer requirements, emerging risks, and market opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in security engineering, security consulting, technical sales, or security architecture.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise software sales cycles with multiple stakeholder groups.
- Expertise in cybersecurity controls, cloud security, identity and access management, data protection, encryption, and security architecture.
- Knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR, and ISO 42001.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and OCI, plus applying AI technologies to improve operational outcomes.
Nice to have
- CISSP, CCSP, CISM, Google Cloud Architect, AWS Security Specialty, or similar certification.
- Experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or cloud platform organizations.
- Experience with AI governance, AI security, and current regulatory frameworks.
- Public speaking, conference presentations, or industry thought leadership experience.
