Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack (Go): Building and scaling GrabX, an experimentation platform for configuring products and running controlled experiments across Grab's services with an accent on Go, MySQL, S3, REST APIs, and end-to-end software delivery. Focus on designing resource-efficient platform features, optimizing performance, troubleshooting production issues through on-call rotations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Location: Onsite at the Petaling Jaya, Malaysia office

What you will do
- Design, develop, and launch features for X, a platform for product configuration and controlled experimentation.
- Build scalable and resource-efficient software supporting tens of thousands of consumers, drivers, and merchants.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, code review, and deployment.
- Participate in design and code reviews, write RFCs and RCAs, and maintain high engineering standards.
- Join on-call rotations to troubleshoot, mitigate, and resolve platform user issues.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand needs and improve platform performance, capabilities, and user experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Go, including goroutines and Go libraries, with the ability to write efficient, readable, maintainable, and testable code.
- Experience with MySQL and writing complex, efficient queries.
- Understanding of software engineering practices, design patterns, version control, Git flows, and deployment strategies.
