TL;DR

Head of AI Enablement (AI): Leading the central AI function to scale and integrate AI across the organization and product portfolio with an accent on enterprise strategy, governance, and delivery. Focus on building AI engineering capabilities, embedding AI into product roadmaps, and driving measurable business value in the public sector.

Location: Hybrid (50% office) from Bracknell, Hemel Hempstead, or Chippenham. Must have pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.

What you will do

• Own and execute the enterprise AI strategy and roadmap to identify and prioritize high-value AI opportunities.
• Establish and lead a central AI team to provide shared platforms, tooling, and engineering support.
• Collaborate with product teams to embed AI-enabled features into product roadmaps.
• Define practical standards, guardrails, and governance to ensure safe, secure, and ethical AI use.
• Lead AI rollouts across the business, including training and building a network of AI champions.
• Manage AI-related expenditures and track the measurable business impact of AI initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience leading AI or advanced technology teams and delivering AI solutions from concept to production.
• Strong technical understanding of applied AI/ML and experience integrating AI into systems.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Commercial focus with a strong orientation toward delivery and value creation.
• Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience working within regulated industries.
• Familiarity with governance or risk frameworks.
• Experience operating within a multi-business unit environment.
