What you will do
- Direct a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, hardware, and electrical engineers to achieve business goals and delivery requirements.
- Oversee the design and development of capital medical devices and complex electronic-mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, and Regulatory departments to optimize processes for new and mature products.
- Manage global offshore teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and professional development.
- Execute EMC/ESD testing and implement robust design techniques to reduce field failures and enhance reliability.
- Apply DFM, SBD, and VAVE methodologies to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce scrap rates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6+ years of progressive experience as a manufacturing engineer, analyst engineer, or engineering manager.
- Proven track record of directing cross-functional and offshore engineering teams across multiple geographies.
- Deep expertise in ISO 9001, IEC 60601 standards, and FDA Quality Systems Requirements (QSR).
- Experience designing and validating custom digital, analog, and power electronic circuits.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Lafayette, Colorado; relocation assistance is not available.
