What you will do

• Own the design, development, and operational excellence of data-plane services and data management systems.
• Lead features through the full software lifecycle from architecture to production support.
• Develop cloud-native distributed systems using microservices, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Build scalable backend services and RESTful APIs with a focus on automation and observability.
• Collaborate with product management and architects to deliver end-to-end cloud storage solutions.
• Mentor team members and conduct root cause analysis for complex production issues.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in data management or storage platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Go for backend services and Python for automation.
• Experience building distributed systems on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid capacity in San Jose, CA.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with C/C++, C#, React, or TypeScript.
