Software Engineer, Managed Services (Java/AI)

What you will do

• Investigate and resolve L3 incidents through root-cause analysis, fixes, and regression testing.
• Support and evolve two Java applications for a Swiss federal regulatory authority, including cloud-native and legacy Java EE systems.
• Apply security patches, remediate CVEs, coordinate releases, and maintain operational runbooks.
• Maintain and extend automated test suites and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Use AI tools for code generation, log analysis, incident triage, testing, and documentation.
• Identify and implement scripts and automations that reduce manual operational work.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional Java development experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot or Java EE/Jakarta EE.
• Relational database experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Experience in application support, maintenance, or operations rather than only greenfield development.
• Experience actively using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar.
• Good written English required; German is beneficial but not required.

Nice to have

• Python, C#/.NET, or TypeScript/Node.js experience.
• Spring Boot 3/4, PostgreSQL JSONB, Oracle PL/SQL, Java EE/WebLogic, or observability experience.
• CI/CD, Kubernetes/AKS, Helm, Istio, Terraform, or frontend experience with Vue, React, or Angular.
• Experience in regulated industries, DDD, onion or hexagonal architecture, and OpenAPI-first design.
• Experience with AI/ML APIs, LLM integration, or AI-assisted workflows.
