TL;DR

Location: Hybrid arrangement, ~3 days/week at San Francisco office (Financial District)

What you will do

• Design and deploy predictive, risk-scoring, and optimization models to identify waste and care improvement opportunities in behavioral health.
• Define and evolve the data science stack, including feature stores, pipelines, and model monitoring frameworks.
• Analyze claims and clinical data to uncover trends, outliers, and actionable business insights.
• Collaborate with client teams to translate complex models into ROI-driven dashboards and workflows.
• Partner with the CEO and CPO to guide overall product direction and data strategy.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, preferably within healthcare or health plans.
• Deep expertise in statistical modeling, causal inference, and ML using Python, SQL, scikit-learn, or PyTorch.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (claims, EHR, ICD, CPT, HCPCS).
• Proven experience building and mentoring high-performing data science teams.
• Ability to build and deploy production-grade models in analytical or product environments.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in San Francisco.
