What you will do
- Design and maintain security tooling, including static analysis pipelines and secret scanning workflows.
- Develop scalable solutions to prevent recurring vulnerability patterns across the platform.
- Build agentic security tooling for automated triage, assessment, and remediation.
- Create security libraries and CI/CD integrations to make secure development the default path.
- Contribute to supply chain security defenses and detection systems.
- Analyze security metrics and KPIs to identify trends and evaluate tool effectiveness.
Requirements
- Must be based in Canada (Ontario, Alberta, or British Columbia).
- 5+ years of experience in security analysis, research, or engineering (or equivalent degree-based experience).
- 1+ year of experience building security tooling in complex environments.
- 3+ years of programming experience in at least two of: Ruby, Go, or Python.
- Strong expertise in security principles like the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL).
Nice to have
- Experience with SAST/DAST tools and custom rule authoring.
- Experience building AI-driven or agentic security tooling.
- Familiarity with software supply chain security concepts.
- Experience working with large-scale monolith or distributed service codebases.
