Cloud Security Engineer (AI)

Location: Onsite in Sterling, Virginia, based out of the Dulles (Washington DC) office; US Citizenship required for work involving FedRAMP-regulated infrastructure.

Base salary: $86,700–$129,600 annually, plus potential annual bonus or commission and benefits.

What you will do

• Build AI-assisted remediation features, SOAR response actions, AWS Config automation, and security intake tooling.
• Develop Python and shell automation to reduce manual cloud security operations work.
• Automate joiner, mover, and leaver identity workflows, access reviews, certifications, and provisioning processes.
• Support Okta, SailPoint, IAM roles, permission boundaries, vulnerability scanning, and remediation tracking.
• Assist with SOC and FedRAMP audit evidence, compliance patching, and SSM Patch Manager automation.
• Contribute to CloudFormation, account lifecycle, SSM alerting, Lambda roles, Bedrock enablement, and GitHub Actions workflows.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.
• 2–3 years of experience in software or automation engineering, cloud security, or a closely related role.
• Experience using AI tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT to build and validate automation.
• Ability to write Python and shell automation and working knowledge of AWS fundamentals, including IAM and CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with GitHub pull-request workflows, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure or security as code.
• Interest in developing cloud security operations expertise in regulated environments.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Terraform, Okta, SailPoint, vulnerability scanning tools, or SOAR platforms.
• Experience with FedRAMP, compliance-driven delivery, Chronicle SecOps, or Siemplify.
