TL;DR

Hardware Electrical Validation Engineer (PCIe): Developing and executing electrical validation plans for high-speed PCIe-based Network Interface Cards with an accent on signal integrity and power integrity. Focus on performing compliance testing, debugging hardware/firmware interactions, and building Python-based automation tools.

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, US. Regular onsite presence is required.

Salary: $105,650 - $200,340 USD

What you will do

  • Develop and execute electrical validation plans for complex SoCs integrated into PCIe-based Network Interface Cards.
  • Perform signal integrity, power integrity, and electrical compliance testing using automation software.
  • Identify, debug, and resolve technical issues across hardware, firmware, and system interactions.
  • Conduct board-level characterization using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and Bit Error Rate Test (BERT) equipment.
  • Develop automation and data analysis tools utilizing Python.
  • Collaborate with architecture, design, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical/hardware validation.
  • Expertise in electrical signal integrity testing and mixed-signal architectures.
  • Proficiency with lab instrumentation (Digital Oscilloscopes, BERT, thermal chambers).
  • Experience with Python scripting and NIC system architecture.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Fiber Optics BER and Switches, including SFP and QSFP components.
  • Experience with ESD Scanners and advanced automated testing procedures.
  • Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary architecture and design teams.
