What you will do

  • Own the creation of the marketing strategy, operating model, and brand positioning from scratch.
  • Develop and nurture an owned player community, including launching and managing spaces like Discord.
  • Define and execute content strategy, social presence, and build-in-public initiatives.
  • Lead marketing strategy for game launches, creating repeatable playbooks to maximize awareness and retention.
  • Establish measurement frameworks to track audience growth, community health, and brand impact.
  • Collaborate with founders, creative, product, and business development teams to align marketing with commercial goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a 0-to-1 builder, having established marketing functions, brands, or go-to-market motions in early-stage environments.
  • Strong strategic leadership skills with the ability to connect brand, community, and product launches to business value.
  • Deep understanding of community-first growth and experience building genuine player advocacy.
  • Exceptional storytelling ability to turn products and work into compelling narratives.
  • Demonstrated success leading product or game launches involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and influence without formal authority.

Nice to have

  • Experience in gaming, entertainment, or creator-led businesses.
  • Familiarity with build-in-public or founder-led content strategies.
  • Experience directing agencies, freelancers, or creative teams.
  • Comfortable using AI-powered creative and content tools.
