Senior Defense Capture Manager (Army) (AI)

Location: McLean, VA; hybrid workplace. Occasional travel of approximately 25% is required, with occasional evening or weekend work for proposal deadlines or time-sensitive capture activities.

Salary: $175,000–$200,000 per year.

What you will do

• Identify, qualify, and prioritize strategic Department of Army opportunities with the business development function.
• Lead the full capture lifecycle for complex opportunities, from opportunity shaping through proposal submission.
• Develop capture strategies aligned with mission needs, funding timelines, and acquisition paths.
• Build and manage cross-functional teams across business development, solutioning, proposals, delivery, pricing, contracts, and recruiting.
• Develop relationships with customer decision-makers and industry partners, and drive competitive analysis, win themes, and value propositions.
• Partner with proposal teams to deliver compliant and compelling submissions aligned with capture strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of Capture Management experience, including 5 years focused on the Army.
• 10+ years leading captures within the Defense market.
• Demonstrated success winning complex full-and-open or large small-business opportunities.
• Deep understanding of federal acquisition processes and major vehicles, including IDIQ, GWAC, BPA, and OTA.
• Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills across business, technical, business development, capture, pricing, proposal, and solution teams.
• Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce and market research platforms.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required.
