What you will do

• Ensure the integrity and high availability of network infrastructure through proactive design and support.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of current network and system facilities.
• Maximize performance using monitoring tools and troubleshooting network or system outages.
• Collaborate with architects and project management teams on optimization and project execution.
• Develop and update technical documentation and support materials.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians on engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technologies, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in IT, development, or telecommunications engineering.
• Comprehensive understanding of telecommunications operations, engineering codes, and standards.
• Proficiency in protocols such as BGP, ISIS, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Ability to work additional time on weekends, holidays, or outside normal hours for emergencies.

Nice to have

• Experience within the telecommunications industry.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Nokia NRS, or Juniper JNCIA/JNCIP.
• Experience with transport technologies like Fiber, Microwave, or Satellite.
