TL;DR
Associate Software Engineer (AI): Building and maintaining high-throughput backend services for an AI-powered experience orchestration platform with an accent on Java microservices and AWS infrastructure. Location: Hybrid/Remote (Ireland). Must be based in or able to work from the Galway area for hybrid collaboration.

What you will do
- Design and evolve Java-based microservices in a collaborative team environment.
- Write clean, testable code with robust unit and integration test coverage.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, contributing to on-call rotations.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for reliable deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, UX, and SRE.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Foundational knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming principles.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP, and common web service patterns.
- Strong communication skills and a growth mindset.
- Logical problem-solving abilities and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
- Must be based in Ireland or able to work from the Galway office.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures like Kafka, SQS, or SNS.
- Understanding of observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing).
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
