Senior Data Scientist I (GenAI/NLP)

What you will do

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain GenAI, RAG, NLP, and machine learning solutions for life sciences products.
• Build production-ready Python packages for data collection, preprocessing, model inference, and pipeline components.
• Optimize RAG pipelines covering content ingestion, machine translation, and contextualized information retrieval.
• Ingest and transform large-scale multilingual data and establish quality metrics, evaluation processes, and reporting.
• Build agentic AI models, manage model drift, and develop automated retraining strategies.
• Lead projects, collaborate with software engineers and biology and chemistry subject matter experts, and mentor junior data scientists.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 5+ years of applied data science experience focused on Generative AI, NLP, and machine learning.
• Strong Python, transformer models, Generative AI, LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation experience.
• Experience building agentic RAG systems is required. Experience with LangChain or similar agent management frameworks is expected.
• Knowledge of deep learning, neural networks, reinforcement learning, transfer learning, traditional machine learning, cloud deployment, OpenSearch, Databricks, Git, Jira, and Agile practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
