Data Scientist II - Finance Payments (GenAI)

Location: Amsterdam, the Netherlands; hybrid working with flexible arrangements. Up to 20 days per year may be worked from abroad in the home country.

What you will do

• Design and deliver end-to-end data science and analytics solutions for Finance, Payments, and Accounting.
• Translate complex finance and accounting problems into statistical, predictive, and data-driven solutions.
• Lead the development and implementation of GenAI solutions and intelligent agents for accounting analytics and decision-making.
• Design and interpret quantitative experiments, including A/B tests, to guide business decisions.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product teams, data platform teams, and data engineering to deliver scalable and reliable production solutions.
• Communicate complex analytical and GenAI outcomes and support the development of junior colleagues.

Requirements

• Experience applying GenAI methods and building production-scale agents for intelligent analytics and data-driven solutions.
• Proven experience applying data science to complex business problems and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of experimental design, A/B testing, statistical inference, and quantitative decision-making.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or R, including preparation and modeling of large datasets.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Spark, dbt, ETL, modern data platforms, and data-quality practices.
• Strong stakeholder management, data visualization, storytelling, and communication skills.

• Experience in Finance, Fintech, Payments, or Accounting.
