TL;DR

What you will do

  • Build and maintain backend applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot, with occasional React/TypeScript frontend adjustments.
  • Convert AI-generated and vibe-coded MVPs into reliable, production-ready applications.
  • Design PostgreSQL schemas and manage database migrations using Liquibase.
  • Integrate BigQuery as a read source and maintain adjusted data views.
  • Develop well-defined APIs following OpenAPI-first development practices.
  • Implement backend observability using Spring Boot Actuator and Prometheus metrics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL schema design, Liquibase, and Maven.
  • Expertise in designing REST APIs using OpenAPI contract-first development.
  • Experience with BigQuery or similar data warehouse technologies.
  • Must be based in EMEA (selected countries).

Nice to have

  • Experience with multi-module Maven projects.
  • Experience integrating legacy systems without complete rewrites.
  • Experience with Google APIs (Sheets, Drive, BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with n8n, Vite, or TanStack Query.
