What you will do

• Collaborate with R&D during early design cycles to integrate DFM and DFA principles and simplify designs for automated production.
• Lead and document PFMEA workshops to proactively identify manufacturing risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Own the manufacturing ramp-up, managing the transition from prototype builds to pilot runs and mass production.
• Define early-stage quality criteria and design assembly fixtures to validate that production processes meet specifications.
• Provide technical feedback to R&D regarding manufacturing capabilities, material selection, and tolerance stack-ups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record in NPI and Industrialization environments, transitioning products from labs to the factory floor.
• High proficiency in applying DFM/DFA principles and running PFMEAs.
• Strong 3D CAD skills (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
• Must be located in or able to work onsite in Munich, Germany.
