TL;DR

Child Rights & Human Rights Due Diligence Consultant (Human Rights): Developing advocacy briefs on child labour and responsible business conduct with an accent on human rights due diligence (HRDD) and systems-strengthening. Focus on identifying strategic opportunities to disseminate briefs to governments and private sector actors to reduce the drivers of child labour.

What you will do

  • Develop a series of advocacy briefs on tackling child labour through responsible business conduct based on existing gaps and needs.
  • Identify and deliver strategic opportunities to disseminate these briefs to governments, private sector actors, and industry platforms.
  • Align advocacy efforts with the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).
  • Create a stakeholder engagement plan with tailored approaches for governments, companies, and investors.
  • Develop actionable messages to reduce the structural drivers of child labour across supply chains.

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s) in Human Rights, International Development, Public Policy, Law, or Social Sciences.
  • 7–10 years of professional experience in child rights, child labour, or responsible business conduct.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing advocacy briefs, policy papers, or analytical reports for international organizations.
  • Proven understanding of HRDD frameworks, including UNGPs and OECD Guidelines.
  • Strong writing skills in English for crafting high-quality briefs for diverse audiences.

Nice to have

  • Prior work experience with hirify.global, ILO, or similar international agencies.
