TL;DR

Lead/Staff Fullstack Engineer (AI): Building a central GenAI Platform and AI agents to empower product teams with scalable capabilities for development and deployment with an accent on LLM patterns, RAG, and developer tooling. Focus on reducing latency, improving reliability, and shipping a medical research AI agent (UpToDate Expert AI) at global scale.

What you will do

• Design and implement full-stack applications, AI agents, and platform components for GenAI development and deployment.
• Build developer tooling, CI/CD, and observability for safe iteration, including evals, canaries, and quality telemetry.
• Apply LLM patterns (RAG, retrieval, routing, tool-use) to improve trust, safety, and reduce cost per query.
• Implement secure SDLC and privacy-by-design practices, including threat modeling and least privilege.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and domain experts to deliver customer-focused solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Drive architecture, mentor engineers, and take ownership of high-impact projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack development skills and cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Expertise in at least one and proficiency across: AI Agent development, backend, frontend, CI/CD, and SRE.
• Proven track record of delivering secure, reliable, cloud-native systems to production.
• Must be able to appear onsite at a hirify.global office as part of the recruitment process.

Nice to have

• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, and vector/RAG systems (e.g., OpenSearch).
• Knowledge of traditional ML tasks such as training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Understanding of LLM failure modes and techniques like fine-tuning and model adaptation.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as SOC2 and HIPAA.
