What you will do

• Create and implement realistic lighting setups for complex VFX shots.
• Develop the look and mood of sequences through look development.
• Collaborate with the compositing team to ensure high artistic and technical standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug scene issues to ensure efficient, clean renders.
• Optimize lighting and rendering workflows without compromising quality.
• Maintain clear communication with production coordinators and supervisors.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Lighting Artist for Mid-level or 5+ years for Senior-level.
• Exceptional proficiency with Maya and Houdini, including Karma and Solaris.
• Strong understanding of lighting principles, color theory, shadow, and composition.
• Familiarity with production tracking software like ShotGrid.
• Ability to work effectively within a professional VFX pipeline.

Nice to have

• Advanced character lighting and look development experience.
• Leadership or mentorship experience within a CG team.
• Experience with pipeline automation and scene optimization.
